My experience with the Telling Time Placemat:
As a parent and former teacher, I am always looking for quality educational product to make my children smarter. We love our collection of educational placemats.
The placemats are highly durable, educational and keep my daughter busy while I try to prepare dinner or empty the dishwasher without her getting into trouble.
She loves looking at the Telling Time placemat and playing with the clock. We also talk about what we do at the different times of the day. She loves telling me what time she thinks it is.

Here are a few activities to help you teach your children how to tell time:
Teaching Telling Time Activity: Make up a story
Children love hearing stories or making up their own stories. Pretend the placemat is a story. Read the story to your children. Afterwards they way want to make their own story to read to you about telling time.
Teaching Telling Time Activity: Make your own game
You will need a package of index cards and a pen or marker.
First draw a clock with 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, continuing to 12:00 on 12 of the index cards using one time per card. Next write the time on another card just using numbers.
Now you are ready to play Telling Time Memory Game. In the beginning when the children are still learning how to tell time, only place down 4 of the clocks and time cards. Each time the children play add another set of cards. Before you know it they will be able to read all the clocks.
Next repeat this game using 1:30, 2:30 all the way up to 12:30. You will have so much fun teaching your children how to tell time.
Teaching Telling Time Activity: Make your own picture book
You will need white paper and crayons. Staple about 13 pieces of paper together.
Use the first page for the cover of the book. Decorate the cover, with a title, a clock to tell time and your name. Tell your children they are the authors of their telling time book.
Have your children draw the pictures of the different clocks with an activity that they would do at that time of day.
You may want to try a variety of methods to help your children learn how to tell time. No child learns in the same way. You need to do what is best for your child and figure out how your child learns! Have fun teaching your child how to tell time.
