Buy or check out from the library some audio books or new cd's. You can have a family sing along in the car. You'll feel just like Chevy Chase from the movie National Lampoon's Vacation.

Usborne Activity Cards: 50 Travel Games and Activities

I thought the games were educational and fun! We were even able to adapt some of them so my younger children (who are both under age six) could play. The author did an excellent job of explaining how to play each of the the games, which were mostly for two or more people.
